
Simon has been a physiotherapist since 2003. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BA (Hons) in Kinesiology in 2000 and a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2003. He has worked in private practice as a manual therapist as well as in a hospital setting as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP). His role as an APP was performing preoperative assessments as a part of a Joint Assessment Centre to manage surgical wait times for hip and knee replacements and arthroscopic shoulder surgeries. In this position, he worked closely with orthopaedic surgeons and was funded for a quality improvement project at his hospital that evaluated patient satisfaction with a collaborative relationship between an orthopaedic surgeon and advanced practice physiotherapist when undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
Simon is passionate about sport and physical function and enjoys supporting clients and athletes to achieve their goals utilizing exercise and manual therapy-based treatment plans. He has taken postgraduate courses in manual therapy and holds Level III upper quadrant and lower quadrant designations through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He has a background in hockey and enjoys providing a clear pathway for athletes to return to sport and function following injury.
In his spare time, Simon enjoys spending time being active with his family and chauffeuring his kids to their various sporting events.
