Neurodynamics

Neurodynamics refers to the communication and movement between different parts of the nervous system, and the nervous systems relationship to the musculoskeletal system. It has been shown that the nerves move independently from other tissues, and assessing this relationship is an important part of injury assessment and treatment.

If your physiotherapist uses neurodynamics in your treatment plan, they will place your  body in different positions designed to relieve or increase tension in the nerve system, then move another body part, or work directly along the nerve pathway.
